Family and its Relationship on Other Facets of Life
One of my main support systems, full of my closest friends, and those whom I have grown to love dearly is my family. As I got older and began college, I began to study more and delve into the research of; What am I? Who am I? Why do I act this way? Where does it come from?
My answer is that it’s….
From our family!!
This series of blogs with the occasional vlogs reviews the communication literature of how our families impact various areas of our lives including but not limited to: internet usage, sports, health, sexual health, and attachment in romantic relationships.
If you are a parent, a wanna be parent, or and individual who wishes to understand more about the impacts of your own family on your communication now, listen up! Heed these things in mind, what you say, how you say it, and how you do it matters for yourself and your children. The first step to change, either that being toxic family cycles or inner turmoil is from acknowledging. Then you accept and take accountability, and finally put actionable steps forward to break those patterns.
